Social Interaction:

Autism often affects social interaction skills, making it challenging for individuals to engage in typical social interactions. They may struggle with understanding social cues, maintaining eye contact, or interpreting others’ emotions, leading to difficulties in forming and maintaining relationships.

Employment Opportunities and Advancement:

Accessing employment opportunities and advancing in careers can be challenging for individuals with autism. Barriers may arise in job application processes, interviews, or networking. Without proper accommodations and support, opportunities for career advancement may be limited.

Difficulty with executive functioning skills, such as organisation, planning, problem-solving, and time management.

PROCESS FOR ASSESSMENT

Referral to a specialist if there is any signs.

Initial Screening to see any potential signs of autism.

Specialist will then looking through medical history and observing the person’s behaviours.

A team of specialists will assess the person.

The person will then be told if they have been diagnosed with ASD.
